My film is called Drought. I’m doing a hand drawn, animated short film. It’s about raindrops making rain. We are up in the clouds which is where the story takes place. The main character is called Dew. The other raindrops run on treadmills which forces them to sweat. The sweat is used for rain. The problem is that the other raindrops are not motivated to run right now. Dew is taking on the challenge now to get the other raindrops motivated to end the “Drought”. While doing this, he faces other challenges too. Hopefully, this shows people that there is always hope no matter what the challenge. Sometimes you just have to be creative.

It helps people at an early age get used to filming or even animating. They can dip their feet into the water and really see if this is something they would do in the future.

My favorite scene is probably working on the scene where I have a thunder cloud and a lightning bolt. I loved animating the thunder cloud doing a drum solo.

My parents! But seriously, probably just getting notes on making my film better. My dad helped me with that. He kept giving me notes on scenes to make them better. Every day, my parents would watch my scenes and give me sooo much feedback. It was frustrating to have to keep fixing things, but I am grateful that they were there. I may have missed a few things. The one thing I learned most is patience, and everything takes time if I want it done right. Everything will not be perfect the first time. Keep trying and it will definitely get better.
