Sometimes clout isn’t enough to keep you out of trouble. A rapper can’t keep their mouth shut in a court room.

FILMMAKER INTERVIEW

What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

We would like the audience to get a good laugh,

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

It’s important because of these opportunities Would’ve never been presented to me. I may have never gotten to experience this, I would’ve never thought that I would’ve liked filmmaking a writing a script, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn’t mind doing it again. Shockingly I also really enjoyed being behind the camera and directing parts of the skit!

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

My personal favorite scene was the courtroom scene with the lawyer and lil guilty smalls. I think the lawyers reactions are priceless and too real. But an honorable mention would be the filming of powdered donuts, it was hilarious.

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

I believe our biggest difficulty was just finding the time. Being full-time students it was hard to get everything done, but I think with some cooperation, accountability and flexibility, we were able to produce a product that we were all proud of!

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

Don’t take yourself too seriously, and have fun!
