What do you want the audience to take away from the film?
To learn about where KSHM came from, and how it has enriched South Highland’s student life on campus.
Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?
It gives you the chance to learn more about filming and to show what we as students are capable of producing.
Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?
We enjoyed filming Gage Simpson over Zoom. It was exciting to talk to a former student and compare our experiences.
What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?
EDITING! All the great footage had to be in 10 minutes and not bore the audience. Also, since we did not have a tripod, we had to try to cover shaky filming with other pictures and footage. Our teacher is definitely getting one next year!
What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?
Film early and don’t forget to run through your scenes and how they are going to be filmed in advance.
