FILMMAKER INTERVIEW
What do you want the audience to take away from the film?
Anything is possible with proper guidance and the willingness to change.
Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?
It allows students to communicate in an artform that is both unique and interesting/ inspiring.
Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?
The ending scene because it involved a sequence of meaningful shots that help tell the story.
What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?
We had difficulty meeting up to film important scenes due to complex schedules and availability. We only had one day and 2 hours to complete the entire project..
What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?
Filmmakers should make sure they have the following information:
1. Someone who has worked on a film to assist and help trouble shoot issues or concerns on set.
2. Make sure the script makes sense for everyone involved and spend time rehearsing (table reads) before the actual shoot day.
3. Try to schedule a timetable for shoot days to make sure everyone is available.
