FILMMAKER INTERVIEW

What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

The goal of this film is to make people laugh. This piece is purely comedy.

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

Film Prize Jr. is important for students today because it gives students the opportunity to explore different roles within the film and production industry.

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

The debate scenes throughout the film were by far the most fun to film. The script was used for structure, but the majority of our lines were improvised.

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

The main struggle throughout the crew and filming was scheduling. It was difficult to find time where everyone was available. Our crew learned to work together through all our struggles and obstacles.

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

The best advice we can give is to have fun and let go. Everything will not go as planned and that’s okay. You have to learn, adapt, and go on.
