“One thing I want the audience to take away from the short film is the theme of perseverance. Our main character went through hardships to clear her name but she kept going. Never give up, hardships will arise and it’ll be difficult but whatever you do just don’t give up.”

“Opportunities like Film Prize Junior are important to students like me to explore. Doing this has showed me the fun in filmmaking. Directing actors, art directing, coming up with a fun new shot idea and all the while doing it with my friends. Its been a great experience for me personally and I hope in future years even after I graduate from Tubman, other students have the same joyful experience I did participating in Film Prize Junior.”

“The interrogation scene was fun for everyone except me to film. They got to throw me in and out of chairs and I got to experiment with different lighting colors.”

“Working under a time limit of was the main obstacle that challenged me and the rest of the crew when completing this film. An hour every Tuesday and Thursday isn’t much but we’re able to make due.”

“I learned the value of teamwork and working diligently. I learned that everyone’s ideas are valuable and to make sure no one is left out. I learned the different aspects of filmmaking and how everyone plays a crucial role in the final outcome. Unity and Courage are key.

“Take it seriously but also have fun. Goof off but get what you need to get done done. Work diligently and make sure all members of the crew are included in the process. Everyone has valuable thoughts and ideas to put forward. Teamwork makes the dream work!”
