FILMMAKER INTERVIEW

What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

I want the audience to take away that technology is powerful and people can do almost anything with it. -Emily K

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

The opportunities from Film Prize Jr. are important today because students have the chance to make a movie and that could be what they want to do in life. – Emily K

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

A scene that I had an absolute blast filming was the first hallway scene. I am not an actor but it was really fun being a part of a scene. – Anna M

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

An obstacle that challenged me and the crew was that people wanted to do other things than go to Film Prize Jr. meetings so they skipped Film Prize. This taught me that if you are making a film and one of the actors are not there, then you redirect the scene and move on. – Anna M

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

The advice that I would give the future participants in Film Prize Jr. is to be patient and know that it takes more than one try and sometimes it can be challenging. – Emily K
