FILMMAKER INTERVIEW

What do you want the audience to take away from the film?

We want the audience to take away the humor of the film. We also want the audience to take away a lesson about not making assumptions about people.

Why are opportunities like Film Prize Junior important to students like you?

Opportunities like Film Prize Jr. help students like us get our work out into the world.

Which scene did you have an absolute blast filming and why?

The fight scene at the end was the funniest thing. Coming up with different ideas for super powers and fights that don’t involve punching each other was amazing!

What obstacles challenged you and your crew the most when completing this film? What did you learn from making this short film?

Continuity was an issue throughout the film, but because we could create any super power, we wanted we created someone called Continuity Fix that could change the way people look. So, it was easy to explain why people changed between scenes and shots. I learned that you can solve any problem as long as you’re creative enough.

What advice would you give to future participants in Film Prize Junior?

Have fun, and don’t be afraid to move the camera. My favorite shots to film are moving shots because of the challenge timing it presents. Plus, it looks cool.
