I would like the audience to walk away from the film feeling hopeful and knowing that even if you go through hardships, you can still reach greatness by prioritizing your goals, focusing on them, and chasing what you want out of life.

Film Prize Junior is important because it teaches leadership skills, communication skills, and collaboration with one another when we may not find that in other aspects of our daily education. It also gives us an outlet to be creative and find other interests and skills that we would like to build on in the future.

I really enjoyed filming the track scene where I am talking with Omarion. I loved building that relationship and rapport with him before sitting down to film the official interview footage. I feel as though that helped build trust between us so we could have a successful interview.

Some of the bigger obstacles we faced with making this film was learning the editing process and organizing all of the information we gathered on the topic for the documentary. I learned that I can’t do it alone. Teamwork really is what MADE the film.

I would say just to trust the process. There were times where we got overwhelmed and felt discouraged, but when we worked together and stayed focused, we found all of the hard work started to pay off. I would also say, trust your teacher lead and lean on them for support and ideas when needed.
